Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many items can I swap at one time?
A: Currently, swapping is limited to 10 or fewer items.
If you feel you need more items please contact us.
We reserve the right to deny swapping at any time and to anyone. (Don't worry, we have to say this in case we catch someone trying to run a scam. We don't want to deny swapping to anyone.)
Q: Can I swap a onesie for shoes?
A: Currently, you can swap any item for any item.
In the case of shoes, we would need a matching pair that met our quality standards (relatively stain-free, freshly laundered with no holes or tears). However, at certain times we have to restrict swapping of different item types. (This usually only happens if we are running low on our inventory of a certain item.)
Also, size or gender is irrelevant. We don't care what you give us as long as it is another baby clothing item that meets defined quality standards.
Q: Do you charge to swap?
A: NO! We will NOT charge money for the ability to swap.
It is against our mission, goals, and desires. However, there are many costs associated with running The Swaddle Swap. So we definitely accept donations. Please do NOT feel obligated in any way. Although, if you can help out, please do so we can keep the doors open. In the future The Swaddle Swap may offer "Premium" services (such as delivery) for a monetary fee. This will not in anyway detract from our ultimate goal of giving you free clothes. It will simply be a way to help us "pay the light bill."
Q: Where / when does the swapping take place?
A: The swapping time is by appointment only. You can make an appointment online through the item reservation system or call coming soon or email swap@theswaddleswap.org .
The location will be given to you at the time the appointment is scheduled. It can either be on the west end of Puyallup (close to Sumner) or in Auburn.
Q: Why do I have to bring an extra item when I swap?
A: We ask that you bring one extra item with you when you swap to help The Swaddle Swap continue to provide free clothing. Your one extra item will help other families swap items.
